I do not wish for noise
For sound's sake

I do not wish for bodies
For company's sake

I do not wish for parties
For scheduling's sake

I do not wish for voices
For conversation's sake

I have worked and wished for something higher--
Authenticity. Perhaps I forgot
To ask for patience
